Chief Tyler
Millix has been a member since 1987
and an officer since 1992. He
has been the Chief for the last
6 years.
He is a certified EMT, Firefighter I and Public Safety Telecommunicator. Tyler was
our #12 responder in 2003 with a total of 267 volunteer calls.
Tyler is the Chief Emergency Dispatcher for the Tolland
County Mutual Aid Fire Dispatch Center. Prior to his appointment as Chief Dispatcher
he served as the Union President of IAFF Local 3841. Tyler is the Search Commander for the Tolland County
Mutual Aid Fire Service Search and Rescue organization.

Deputy Chief David Woodworth has been a member since 1989 and an officer since 1991.

responder in 2003 with a total of 127 calls. Dave has many years of experience in the health care field
starting with being a surgical assistant in the Navy and then at St.
Francis Hospital and Johnson Hospital.

Asst.
Chief
Andy Gray has been a member since 1985.
He is a certified Paramedic and Firefighter II.
Andy was our #15 responder in 2003 with a total of 103 calls. Andy
trained to be a paramedic while serving as a corpsman in the Navy and
previously worked as a paramedic in New Hampshire and at
Windham Hospital. Andy is currently
working as a firefighter at the Groton Submarine Base. Classes attended: Hazmat Awareness and

Captain Bill Bartholomew has been a
member since 1991. He is a certified Firefighter I, EMT and a member of
the Tolland County Dive Team. He was our #5 responder in 2003 with
196 calls. Bill holds the rank of Third
Engineer for the department. Classes attended: Hazmat Awareness and
Operational.

Captain Stuart Cobb
has been a member since 1988 and an officer since 1991.
He is a certified EMT, Fire Officer I, Fire Service Instructor I,
Firefighter III, Pump Operator and Hazmat Technician. Stuart was our #11
responder in 2003 with a total of 123 volunteer calls. Stuart has
been a full-time employee here since 1993 and is a Deputy Fire Marshal
and Open Burning Official for the Town of Willington.

Lieutenant
Jeff Pierce

Lieutenant Matt Brink has been a member since 1990.
He is certified as a Firefighter I and is an EMT Matt was our

responder for the year of 2003 with a total of 91 calls. Matt is a
full-time dispatcher for the Tolland County Mutual Aid Fire Dispatch center. Classes

Safety
Officer Bruce Carlson has been a member since
1988 and an officer since 1991. He
is a certified MRT, Firefighter II and is currently the department
Safety Officer. He was our
#9 responder in
2003 with a total of 141 calls.
He was previously a member of Warehouse Point Fire Dept. from
1971-1978 and is still a member of the Pratt & Whitney Volunteer
Fire Brigade, where he works. Classes

Jennie Anderson
has been a member since 2001. She just finished her EMT class and is
currently working at Johnson Memorial Hospital as a patient care
technician. Jennie was our #19 responder in 2003 with 85 calls. |
Engineer Jim Arsenault
has been a member since 1982. He is a certified Firefighter I and a former
MRT and Lieutenant. He was our #17 responder in 2003 with 97 calls.

Lauren Cefaratti
has been a member since 2001. She is a certified EMT and CPR-Instructor.

Brian Elton
has been a member since 1972. He is a certified Firefighter III and
a former EMT. Brian is a lifetime member of our department.

student at Capital Community College where he is pursuing his
certification as a Paramedic. Dan also attended a class in Mass

Response. Dan was the #2 responder for the year of 2003 with 280 calls. |
William Foran
has been a member since
1993. He is a certified
EMT and Firefighter I. He was our #38 responder in 2003 with a
total of 23 calls. Bill was
previously a member of the Willington Hill Fire Dept. He works for Marlyn Construction as a mason tender.

Melissa Gaudette is a new member who is
currently enrolled in an EMT class. She is an employee of Johnson
Memorial Hospital working as a Patient Care Assistant in the Critical Care
Unit. She was our #41 responder for the year of 2003 with 22 calls. |
Ron Gantick has
been a member since 1977 and an officer since 1978. Ron was Deputy Chief
for 10 years before becoming Chief in 1992. He
is a certified EMT (since 1978) and Firefighter I. Ron works as
a full-time property manager. Classes attended: Hazmat Operational and
Incident Command System. Ron has now retired from the officer position but
remains an active fire fighter in the department. Ron was the #26
responder in 2003 with 43 calls. |
Jeremiah Gilmour
has been a member since 2000.
He was our #22 responder in 2003 with 60 calls.
He is currently an EMT. He attended Windham Tech and
majored in Culinary Arts. Jeremiah is currently attending a college in
Burlington,
Vermont for Culinary Arts. |
Nicole Guglielmo
has been a member since 2002. She was our # 4 Responder for the year of
2003 with 252 calls. Nicole is a 911 Dispatcher for Tolland County Mutual
Aid Fire Service. Her certifications include: EMT-B,
Fire Fighter I, and Hazmat Awareness. Classes attended: Flashover
Survival, Firefighter Safety & Survival, Engine Company Operations, CPAT
Orientation and Life Star Safety.. Nicole is
currently pursuing her Bachelor's degree at the

Kim Harrison
has been
a member since 1998. She is a certified E.M.T, Fire Fighter I, CPR
Instructor and an open water diver. Kim was
our #32 responder in 2003 with a total of 36 calls.

Steve
Harrison
has been a member since 1988.
He is a certified Firefighter I and is a former EMT and
Assistant Chief. Steve was

Lowell Karpuska
has been a member since 1997. He is a certified
EMT,
Fire Officer

Instructor, and is currently the department Training Officer. He was our
#7 responder in 2003 with a total of 161 volunteer calls. Lowell was
previously a member of the Tolland Fire Department from 1988-1997 where he
also served as a Lieutenant. He is currently a part time-employee here.

Lisa Kenderdine has been a member since 2003. She has 15 year of
fire/EMS experience with the Staffordville Fire Department. Lisa was an
EMS Lieutenant for 8 years and an EMS captain for 1 year with
Staffordville Fire Department. Her current
certifications include: Fire Fighter I, EMT-D, CPR-Instructor, Hazmat Ops, PADI
Open Water-I, FF Safety and Survival, and Jaws of Life Extrication
Specialist. Lisa is the owner/operator of Mihaliak Trucking with her

College, and a part time Surgical Technician at Constitution Eye Surgery

John Peters
has been a

Justin Risley

member since 2002. He is an EMT. Justin attends Tolland High School and
is currently a Senior. Justin was previously a member of the Tolland

Daniel Saunders
has been a member since 2002. He is a certified MRT Dan decided to
join the department shortly after his son did (Justin Risley). Dan was the
#34 responder in 2003 with 30 calls. |
Jennifer
Sharpe-Coles has been a member since September 2001. She was the
department's #36 responder for 2003 with 26 calls. Jen is a certified
Firefighter II and EMT. Jen is also a CPR instructor and is the
information officer for the Tolland County Dive Team, and assistant
information officer for the search & rescue team. She is also
a member of the Crystal Lake Fire Department. Jen was one of the crew members that assisted in the delivery of the departments
first baby in 15 years. Classes taken: Hazardous Materials Operations and

been a member since 1996. He is an EMT, Fire Officer I, Fire Service
Instructor I. He was our #24 responder in 2003 with a total of 58 calls. Tom used to be a Deputy Fire Marshal for the Town of
Willington and was a long time member and officer in the Willington Hill Fire
Department. Tom works as a full-time

Bob Wiecenski has been a member since 1967. He was our #37
responder in 2003 with a total of 24 calls. Bob served as
Treasurer of the department for 29 years, from 1967 through 1996.
He was also a Lieutenant for many years. Bob has retired from the
